Every Room Deserves One
How Not To Burn Your House Down
Simple rules that keep the vibe going and the smoke detector quiet.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and people who talk in the cinema.
Trim The Wick
Keep it at 6mm before every burn. A long wick = tall flame = black smoke = your ceiling looking like a different brand entirely.
First Burn Is Everything
Let the wax melt all the way to the edges on the first burn. Skip this and you get tunnelling. Tunnelling is permanent. Don't say we didn't warn you.
Two To Four Hours Max
Don't be greedy. Burning longer than 4 hours overheats the jar and turns a luxury candle into a hazard. Set a timer.
Keep It Away From Drafts
Fans, open windows, air vents — the enemies of a clean flame. Soot on your walls is not the aesthetic.
Use A Candle Snuffer
Don't blow it out like a birthday cake. A snuffer keeps the wick centered and stops wax from splattering. Yes, it matters.
Stop At The Last Half Inch
Once there's only 12mm of wax left, retire it. Burning below that overheats the glass and can crack the jar. The jar is worth saving.
